DETROIT — Two Iron Mountain High School wrestlers won state titles Saturday in Division 4 of the MHSAA Individual Wrestling Finals at Ford Field.
At 119 pounds, Mountaineers junior Shawn McGuire defeated sophomore teammate Tyler Winch, 5-0, giving the school the top two places in the state championships. McGuire was state runner-up as a freshman at 112 pounds in 2020.
At 152 pounds, IM senior Parker Stroud defeated Josh Collins of Hemlock High School, 11-9. It was Stroud’s fourth trip to Ford Field.
