SC issues notice on daughters’ plea to trace elderly mother

89-year-old Vaidehi Singh, a resident of Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, was brought to Delhi’s Gangaram hospital for treatment last month but remains untraced after February 26 when she was moved to an undisclosed location by her son.

100 endangered vultures killed by suspected insecticide poisoning in Assam

The vultures belonged to the Himalayan Griffon species while the eagle was a Stepee Eagle—both birds are listed in Schedule 1 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 as endangered species that need rigorous protection.
