Seven new cases of Omicron Covid-19 variant have been confirmed in Karnataka, state health minister Dr K Sudhakar said on Saturday. The patients range between 15 and 76 year olds. The state’s Omicron tally has now risen to 38.

India’s Omicron tally climbs to 439, Rajasthan logs biggest surge in cases
On Saturday, Rajasthan reported the biggest surge in Omicron cases, its tally nearly doubling in a single day from 22 to 43. Of these 11 cases are from Jaipur, 6 from Ajmer, and 3 from Udaipur. Results from the National Institute of Virology, Pune, showed all of them to be positive with Omicron.
