SALEM — Two businesses located with the historic Courtyard Square in downtown Salem will hold grand openings today, with Bella C’s Creations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Killy’s Kauldron from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., along with the Small Business and Artisan Market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bella C’s Creations, the brainchild of Salem resident Jocelyn Trieff, sells anything from apparel, tumblers, home decor and so much more. When asked about her business, Trieff said, “Everything in my store and on my website is handmade by me, and all designs are handdrawn as well.”
The idea began one Fourth of July when Trieff designed a shirt and posted it on social media. The response was so great that Treiff decided to produce a few more to sell to her friends. The same success followed with experiments on other projects, which ultimately led to Bella C’s Creations.
Bella C’s Creations is open from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, located in suite 12L within Courtyard Square, 645 E. State St., Salem. Visit the website at https://bellacscreations.squarespace.com/about or visit the Bella C’s Creations Facebook group.
Killy’s Kauldron, a specialty shop owned and operated by lifelong Salem residents Courtney Bosworth and her mother, Tona Warneke, is celebrating its grand re-opening. The shop, named after Bosworth’s son, Killian, specializes in handcrafted crystal and herb infused soy candles, which they create right in the store.
“In addition to our own creations, we also carry a wide variety of crystals, herbs, essential oils, books and tarot cards. We also have items on consignment from other local crafters, such as handmade jewelry and crocheted dolls,” Bosworth said.
Killy’s Kauldron is located within the Courtyard Square, with visitors asked to look for the purple door. Hours of operation are 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Small Business & Artisan Market is held in Courtyard Square on the second Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., organized by Killy’s Kauldron, with special thanks to Salem entrepreneurs, Scott and Lisa Cahill, for the use of the Courtyard space at no cost to the vendors. The Cahills purchased and have been renovating Salem’s historic Courtyard Square since 2013.
